Wow this is pretty cool sounding.
Nice easy mellow tune, great singing and songwriting.
I enjoyed this, and don't think you should be hesitant
about putting it up. Good thing you pointed out that
it was "just PC fun" because I wouldn't have known.
Nice arrangement background keys and guitar rhythm.
You are quite the versatile tune-slinger.

Love the way the piano depicts the falling rain at the beginning there The musical arrangement has a harder edge than your usual material and it's absolutely fantastic! Your voice is perfect and that melody is stuff to die for!! You convey emotions so effortlessly. I wish you all the luck in the world with your music Ryan...you have a very natural talent for songwriting and performing - and you deserve success Great song.

WOw...Ryan this is really, really good.
It reminds me a little of the piano driven band "Keane" from the UK (I think you'd like them if you haven't heard any of their tunes).
The song is smooth. Very nicely produced. The piano/elec piano sounds great. it tinkles around nicely in spots. It might be good to go up the octave a little sooner, as it might seem to get a little repetitive for some after a while.
The drums are fab, there's a few rolls tho that are a tad odd and seem to almost cause the song to..stop? Break? Something...but it's not anything that ruins it by any means (around :49 and another around 1:51).
I really think the shining star in it is your voice. It's really tight. Compared to some of your other songs on here, it's amazing in terms of quality and strength/presence.
The backing vox during the end chorus/outro are a great touch. Great.
Wonderful, absolutely wonderful work...I don't usually say it but...I'm downloading this and will be listening to it in the car (probably nonstop for the next few weeks )
Thanks for uploading it (finally!!! ) and for letting me know it was here.

I love the way your vocal melody goes back and forth between your falsetto during the chorus. It has a yodel type of feel to it but done a lot more tastefully. (well, I love yodeling too, but I think I like it because it is ostentatious.)
I've been falling into so much good music lately on dmusic. This is no exception. Your voice is very emotional, elastic and smooth. Keep it up.

This is a pretty good song. I like it. You're vocals are good. You actually took some time to record this. Theres nothing in the area of production that I can say that sounds crappy. The biggest thing seems to be the drum machine seems a little off ... the sounds not the timing. But it's good stuff. Worth a download

A very nice structured composition. Some great hooks in there particularly the piano lines. Quite a simple but infectious beat underlying the song.

The songwriting, keyboard accents, and vox are ALL aces on this one...
The spare instrumental really allows you to showcase what a wonderful vocalist you are... and that's something that I'm completely hooked on!
Percussion's strange, though... I'll have to get used to that...
Overall, though, it's the kind of track I come back to regularly, because I feel touched by all of it, so it's a true charmer in my book!

Beautiful vocals..ya slip right into the bridge so smoothly...very cool chorus..sweet harmonies at the end. I like the sparsness of the instrumentation...every note hits the right spot.
The drum tracks throw me off just a bit, but the feel of the song is awesome. This is some real good stuff bra.

Wow. This is great stuff.
You have one of the best voices I've heard on dmusic.
This is such a melodic song, great hook and the piano line stays with you after the song has finished. Like the harmonies that come in at the end.
Very nicely done.

This is a beautiful song Ryan. The piano line builds such a strong hook in the chorus, and the middle 8 with strings...oh how I love strings...is a joy! And to top it all off, a majestic vocal performance! Seriously good stuff!

A british pop feel to it, this is what the masses are screaming for. me too for that matter. I thought the piano was a little dry on the turnaround, but if it was on a real piano it would be a completely different case, a little sustain on that and it would be perfect. I love your falsetto shifts in your voice, it's so hard to hit those high pitched every time, and you did it like it was nothing, you kick some vocal ass!

Wow, Ryan, this is good stuff. I'm probably not exaggerating when I say that this is my favorite song on DMusic. This is some great songwriting, my friend. The lyrics have a great hook. Your vocals are very smooth and the sparse production works perfectly for this song. Congratulations! You should be very proud of this one.

Just beautiful! This kind of has a Beatles sound at times. I think I heard this on the pop vocals station and loved it. Your voice is just fantastic and that slip to falsetto is so smooth. Excellent drum sounds, harmonies, melody, and lyrics---this is just all around a great tune.

interesting contrast wit hthe first song on your list, i really enjoyed this tune and i agree the piano could be a little more thick/sustained.
Same goes with your voice about being a little more thick..then again my ears are stopped up from a cold so i could be totally off
nice falsetto very clean and on target the only time i heard it off was at 2:12
great composition man, you've got a good vision

This is one of those songs that would be equally at home on college radio or an AAC station. Usually, "radio friendly" is a curse term for me, because so much that sounds like it'd have mass appeal also sounds contrived and lifeless. This is pretty enough that it skirts dangerously close to that territory. Had there been fewer clever turns of phrase in the lyrics, if the chorus had been repeated a few more times, etc., I might have labelled it "forgettable".
The lyrics, their delivery, and the piano melody save this tune from that. If I may be so presumptuous, I'd like to suggest a starker treatment for this song. The drums function more to tie the tune together than to drive it, and I'm don't think it particularly NEEDS either. Just one slob's opinion.

This is a really good song, Ryan. I agree with zedsalt's assessment. Your voice is great! My opinion: ditch the drums. I find them extremely annoying. (I was glad that they cut out at about 3:00.)

Wow. This track is glistening with potential. Your voice is incredible!!! There's a strong Beatlesque influence with the chords you've chosen which works for me every time. My only negative is that I'd spend a bit more time with the drum track, but overall, a very impressive performance.

While at first I'm disappointed at the quality of sounds here in comparison to the beauty of your regular strumming, the melodies in the piano and bass more than make up for it. Nice delay you occasionally throw in the vocals! It's like ice cream on an already delicious and well-iced cake. Overkill, sure (your voice obviously doesn't need any adornment), but tasty just the same! I love the break near 3:00. Just great songwriting. Great work!
PS Those flasettos are straight up amazing.

Don't get me wrong, this is a wonderful song, but, I agree w/ some folks bout the drums, the keys and guitar I'd like to hear a bit more of, and kind of distract from the vox. You have a great voice, I kind of agree w/ Zed, the arrangement reminds me a bit of Tracy Chapman's first record.
